CCC 2010 - „Concrete Structures for Challenging Times“

The Congress technical programme will consist of several sessions each with one invited keynote speaker and set of selected speeches resulting from the abstracts sent in to the Congress Scientific Committee on the basic of the abstract submission procedure. It will also include plenary session invited speeches and poster session.

Your abstract submission can be done electronically only via the 6CCC Abstract Submission Form available through the Congress website www.ccc2010.eu (Abstract Submission button).You should fill in all the identification data required, a brief Abstract Summary as a plain text (up to 100 words) to summarize your technical contribution, and tick 2-5 topics from the pre-arranged Keywords offer.
Your abstract itself (max. 2 pages, format PDF, DOC or DOCX only) can be uploaded then very easily just by inserting its filename into the Abstract Submission Files box. Your 6CCC Abstract should be completed and submitted by the 15th March 2010.

CONGRESS TOPICS

The topics of the Symposium include, but are not limited to, all aspects of durability of structures from conceptual stage to design, construction, operation and maintenance phases:

1. New projects in Central European infrastructure network – Significant projects including roads and railways, important water transportation structures, crossborder infrastructure projects, transport in urban
   areas.
2. Concrete structures exemplarily integrated into environment - Successful applications of concrete in nature conservation areas, features important for protection of the landscape, concrete engineering as a compromise between construction and protection of the natural and cultural heritage .
3. Innovative concrete structures for the challenging times - Concrete structures leading to high economy of construction, improvement of durability, reduction of maintenance, long-term service life.
4. Inspiring road and railway bridges and tunnels - Individual concrete structures exhibiting progress in design and construction technology, application of advanced materials.
5. Advanced concrete structures for power and water related industries - Applications of concrete in power plants, industrial structures, ports, dams and other interesting applications in complex technological centres.
6. Worthwhile impulses from outside the Central European region - Interesting examples of structures in infrastructure networks and concrete applications in industrial plants from Europe and other continents.
